How to Reheat Cooked Frozen Lobster
(Without Killing It Twice)
So, you’ve got our premium cooked lobster — now what?
Here’s how to reheat it without turning it rubbery or sad.
Best Method: Steam It Gently
Keeps the meat juicy and tender.
Steps:
-
Thaw in the fridge overnight (or under cold water for faster results)
-
Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a pot with a steamer basket
-
Add lobster, cover, and steam for 4–5 minutes
-
Done! Don’t overdo it — just heat it through
Oven Reheat (Great for Tails or Stuffed Lobster)
Steps:
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
-
Place thawed lobster in a baking dish with a splash of broth or water
-
Cover with foil and bake 10–12 minutes
-
Serve with melted butter
Butter Poaching (Decadent & Delicious)
Perfect for lobster rolls or pasta.
Steps:
-
Melt butter in a pan on low heat
-
Add thawed lobster meat
-
Poach gently for 4–6 minutes
-
Do not let it boil — low and slow wins
What Not to Do:
-
No microwave (unless you like lobster erasers)
-
Don’t boil it again — it’s already cooked!
Pro Tip:
Always thaw first. Heating frozen lobster directly = sad, chewy mess.
